Castell de Santueri

C: North wall with guarding pass

The north rampart, topped by 25 battlements, consists of two longitudinal sections  and one transverse wall that closes the structure in the north side. The walls, of double face padding, have many construction lines made in Opus Spicatum technique, and on them, and in front of the battlements, can be seen the guarding pass or parapet, which covers the first two sections of the rampart.

This area, pending archaeological excavations, presents abundant remains of walls, and even a window in the wall section of the wall that possibly would belonged to one of the many rooms ─but not conserved─, cited by written sources, as might be the chapel. To the right of this room you can see a break in the wall, which has a base area marking a possible passage, although its function is unknown.
